Miami-Dade County Public Schools continues to strive to offer flexibility and variety in school choice by providing specialized non-Magnet Programs that give parents and students exceptional additional options in their educational decisions. Choice Programs offer a broad variety of specialty programs.

The Visual Performing Arts (VPA) School of Choice offers specialization in Art, Band, Chorus, Dance, and Theatre. It is through the arts that students have a unique means of expression that captures their passions and emotions and allows them to explore ideas, subject matter, and culture in different way.
Students spend hours immersed in theory and practice in their area of interest while engaging in a challenging curriculum. Achievement is mastered through a variety of methods, and showcased school wide, at the District, and State level.
All applicants in VPA Academy/magnet area will be interviewed individually and auditioned.
