Shop Classes entered 65 projects in the Miami Dade County Youth Fair
We Returned with 62 1st Place Awards, 3 Second Place Awards, and One Grand Champion Award.
This Year the South Dade Senior High Wood Shop Classes entered 65 projects in the Miami Dade County Youth Fair. We Returned with 62 1st Place Awards, 3 Second Place Awards, and One Grand Champion Award. These projects were: Dovetail Boxes, and Pens by my beginners, while the advanced students created various projects like Whiffle Balls, Chessboards, Lamps, and numerous Pens.
For the Second Year in a row Raymond Fackler won the Woods, Metals, and Plastics Grand Champion Award for his Chessboard. Another creative and interesting project, a Jimmy Hendrix Guitar Lamp was Created by Jessica Woodbury who also received a special award. I have included photos to share with the staff please congratulate your students on their outstanding craftsmanship.
